Hailee Steinfeld is feeling proud amid her pitch perfect love story with fiancé Josh Allen.

The “Hawkeye” star, 28, praised the Buffalo Bills quarterback, her partner, in a new interview with E! News published Tuesday.

“To say the least, I am so proud of that man and everything he’s done, and everything that team has done together,” she said. “He is the hardest working person I know.”
Steinfeld and Allen first sparked romance rumors in 2023 and finally went Instagram official in July 2024. They have generally been private about their relationship, but they announced their engagement in November via a photo of the NFL star down on one knee. “♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️,” they captioned an Instagram post showing Allen in front of a floral arch.
Allen shared details about the engagement during a conversation with Steinfeld in a December edition of the actress’ “Beau Society” newsletter.
“The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we get married already?!? What are you waiting for??!'” Allen told Steinfeld in the newsletter. “I replied, ‘Just give me a little more time.’ Little did you know I was about to propose to you.”
Still, Allen said Steinfeld was “extremely surprised” when he popped the question and that he did a good job keeping his plans under wraps. “I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal,” he said. “It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Multiple times throughout the day, a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”
Allen also revealed that while down on one knee, he told Steinfeld, “‘I couldn’t wait any longer.’ I said I can’t wait to start a family with you. I said your full name, and I asked you very nicely. I said please. You said yes, and that was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out.”
