Andy Cohen thinks President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance’s contentious White House visit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had all the tension and drama of an episode of “Real Housewives.”
The “Watch What Happens Live” star took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to throw shade at the Trump administration’s handling of the Ukrainian president’s visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Friday. After an X user asked Cohen, “Did we just watch The Real Housewives of the World. @Andy,” the “Housewives” executive producer compared the controversial meeting to the Bravo reality franchise that follows affluent and prominent women from cities like Beverly Hills and Atlanta in high-drama, high-stake situations. “We did…. and Zelensky (sic) ate them up,” Cohen quipped in a quote tweet. The Radio Andy on Sirius XM creator is a frequent critic of Trump and endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential campaign. What happened between Trump and Zelenskyy?
Cohen’s comments came after Trump slammed Zelenskyy in the Oval Office Friday and later told the Ukranian president to leave the White House in a surprising public spat that jeopardized continued U.S. support for Ukraine in its war with Russia. During the exchange, Vance told Zelenskyy he was being “disrespectful” to Trump and should be thanking the U.S. rather than lecturing it on the cause of the war. Trump later said he’s “determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved” and Zelenskyy abruptly left the White House at Trump’s demand, according to a White House official.
